My Education

Growing up in Atlanta made it hard to want to leave such a great city. I graduated with honors from Peachtree Ridge High School in 2013 with a 3.7 GPA. I started my freshman year of college at Kennesaw State University so I could stay close to my hometown and family. At Kennesaw State University, I made lifelong friendships and made the transition to life in college.

I then decided to transfer to Auburn University to further my education. Auburn is where I found myself a city girl falling in love with a small town. When you come to Auburn, you become part of the Auburn Family.

I am thankful that my path at Auburn University has led me to public relations (PR). The courses and skills I have learned within the major have helped me find my perfect niche. I feel very confident in my abilities including my writing and communication skills due to my public relations coursework.

Throughout my time at Auburn, I have also enjoyed studying Spanish courses and journalism courses. My Spanish courses have provided me communication skills that allow me to reach a larger number of people through another language. My journalism classes have taught me how to write in different styles and interviewing skills. Through my journalism and PR classes, I have been able to write stories on a variety of topics, broaden my knowledge of different industries and strengthen my writing skills.

Auburn University has provided me a solid education and foundation to start a career. I have overcome many challenges and learned and grown from them both inside and outside the classroom. My experiences at Auburn have shaped me into a stronger person and a person more prepared to face challenges in the future. Auburn has provided me the knowledge and opportunity to be successful and for this, I am thankful. War Eagle!
