At Kennesaw State University, I joined the Kennesaw State Swim Club. I took on a leadership position of secretary in helping manage the team and trips. I enjoyed getting to continue my passion of swimming on a collegiate level and make new friendships in my teammates.
Once I arrived at Auburn University my sophomore year, I decided to participate in Panhellenic’s rush week. After the week was over, I accepted a bid from Kappa Alpha Theta. Through the sorority, I got to meet many new people and participated in philanthropy work for CASA.
In August 2016, I decided to join the Auburn Swim Club. When I joined it was only the team’s second year as a club and the team continues to grow. I am thankful I was able to continue my swimming again and have the opportunity to compete again and bond with other swimmers.
In August 2016, I also joined PRSSA (Public Relations Society of America), PRCA (Public Relations Council of Alabama) and the Ketchum Mindfire community. PRSSA and PRCA provide Auburn University a networking opportunities, career services resources, and public relations current training specifically for public relations majors and professionals. Ketchum Mindfire is also an online public relations community for college students to provide public relations campaign ideas to Ketchum Public Relations Firm.
